General Returns/Procedures



Return Requirements
  • Any part purchased from FordZone.com can be returned for any reason within the first 30 days provided that the product has not been installed or damaged. The part must be unused, in its original packaging (no seals or packaging can be broken on gasket or timing sets), and must be in resalable condition. If you have any questions about the return policy, please e-mail us at Returns@FordZone.com.

  • FordZone.com will pay for shipping charges and restocking fees if your return is the result of an erroneous shipment by us. We only reimburse shipping for ground shipping costs incurred. Under NO circumstances will we accept COD packages. For all other reasons, auto parts for import cars are subject to a 13% restocking fee, auto parts for domestic cars are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and auto accessories from our auto accessory store are subject to a 15% restocking fee. The manufacturer must inspect and approve that the return is in resalable condition for a credit to be issued.

  • NO returns of any type will be accepted without a RAN (Return Authorization Number).


  • NOTE: We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. For your protection, we suggest that you insure your return shipment and use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery and a shipment tracking number.

Return Procedures

Please complete the following steps when returning your purchase:

1) To request an RAN (Return Authorization Number), please go to www.FordZone.com/Returns. Follow the instructions there for obtaining a RAN.

2) You will receive a response by e-mail with your RAN (Return Authorization Number) and further instructions. If you feel your return is outside of our return policy either because of time, condition, or other, PLEASE DO NOT SEND IT! Call customer service at 1-866-876-3242.

*NOTE: DO NOT RETURN YOUR MERCHANDISE TO THE SAME ADDRESS IT WAS SHIPPED FROM, UNLESS IT IS THE ADDRESS GIVEN WITH YOUR RAN. FordZone.com will not be liable for items shipped to any address other than the one provided with your RAN, and misdirecting your return may delay or prevent you from being credited.

Core Returns



Core Return Requirements
  • A "Core" is the used part that may be returned for credit. When you purchased the new part, you paid a deposit called a Core Charge, which may be refunded. If you were charged for a core on your invoice, then you are eligible to receive that money back, provided that the core is returned in restorable condition in the original box of the replacement part. Cores must be returned within 30 days of purchase in order to receive a credit. The manufacturer must inspect and approve the core return for the credit to be issued.

Items Damaged in Delivery


For your protection, we recommend that you always carefully inspect your purchase for damage before you sign for it. If merchandise arrives damaged, it is best to return it to the carrier attempting delivery. If you accept the package, keep all of the original shipping packaging and immediately contact your shipper's office to obtain a damage inspection report and the damage call tag number. Then request that the shipper return the damaged item to the address it came from, which is noted on the package. Finally, notify FordZone.com immediately at (866) 876-3242 with your damage call tag number and we'll help you reorder the item or get a credit.

Quality Assurance / Warranty


  • We offer the highest quality original (OEM), aftermarket, rebuilt and used auto parts available.

  • FordZone.com offers a one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. If, within one year from date of purchase, the part no longer functions due to a defect, FordZone.com will replace that part free of charge. (Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.) After one year, all warranty issues must be referred to the manufacturer. Parts that are damaged due to incorrect installation or mistreatment are not covered under this warranty.
